Have Trouble Swallowing. Parathyroid Gland Level Is High. Cure?
I have been having trouble swallowing , like a ball in my throat . I was at the hospital last night. They are wanting my to go get a thyriod scan and a scope as my parathyroid gland levels are slightly high. The doctor at the hospital told me to go in if I have double vision or I can t swallow at all. This morning I woke up with a burning feeling in the back of my neck. I m worried.
There are so many reasons for swallowing difficulty and thyroid swelling is one among the reasons. Parathyroid glands are 4 small glands present in thyroid gland and are very unlikely to cause swallowing problems, unless very big.
I feel you would require further testing to assess your thyroid and parathyroid gland status. Just to reassure, you need be worried as most of the thyroid and parathyroid disease are treatable.
