Have Very Light Periods Now, Normally Have Regular Periods. Have A Glob Of Blood With The Discharge. What Could Be The Cause Of This?
I normally have a regular period, with lots of cramps and sickness, which is very heavy. However I started my period two days early and it is very light. Is this something I should be worried about? It came first as a dark brownish/pink color and it's darker than normal. I haven't had any cramps or other problems. It's very light and the only time I actually notice blood is when using the bathroom. It's like a glob of blood but I'm barely bleeding out. What could be the cause of this? Is there anything to be worried about?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Lohit K's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM. The dark color globe shape may be the menstrual blood clotted inside the uterus. But since there was no pain and variation in timings, get examined by your gynaecologist with an USG abdomen and pelvis. Next time please put your age, marietal and any related history for us to diagnose and to have good discussion. Have adequate regular sleep, plenty of fluids, nutritious diet with required calorie and regular outdoor exercises. Hope I answered your question. Consult your doctor for further management. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries or doubts and I shall be glad to help you out. Wish you good health. Take care.
