Having Acute Anal Fissure. Prescribed Medicines. Permanent Cure Apart From Surgery?
hello doc, i am having acute anal fissure since 6 months. Pain comes and goes which depends on bowel movement . It doesnt bleed apart from once. Surgeon adviced surgery but also consulted physician today. He prescribes Anobliss Cream with macralax fibre. Can i use Xylocain before evacuation. How long it will take to heel. What is the permenant solution apart from surgery. Ahmad
First of all you should know that the fissure which lasts for 6 months is not the acute one. This is severe fissure and such fissures can be treated with surgery.
However if you havent tried Anobliss before you may find it very helpful. This cream contains calcium channels blocker and Lidocaine. This cream should relax your rectal muscle and can make your fissure healed. But it might be hard with severe fissure.
It is also very important in fissure treatment to avoid constipations, make your stool soft and do not push hard on stool. Hot baths with Quercus Cortex can be helpful as well. You can also use Xylocain gel before bowel movement.
If such treated fissure wont get healed in a week, the only permanent solution can be surgery.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
