Having Diarrhea And Dark Stool After Taking Ovex Tablet For Thread Worm. Is This Side Effect Of Medication?

Hi,

I have threadworm and have taken a Ovex tablet last night. I'm a little worried today as I have had diahorrea and the colour of my stools was a black/dark grey colour.

This is my first time having threadworms and am worried about how long I have had them as I don't usually check the tissue after going to the toilet.

Do you think that the diahorrea and colouring of my stools has anything to.do with my having threadworms?

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM.
Diarrhea may be caused as the side effect of the medicine you have used.
But it does not impart color to the stools.
Altered color may be due to altered blood passing through in the stools or consuming any iron preparations for the treatment of anemia.
