Two days ago I had flu like symptoms such as headaches, coughing, muscle aches, sore throat etc. And then when I woke up yesterday it felt as though I was left with a slight cough and a sore throat but last night before I went to sleep I started coughing a lot. It was a dry cough and it happened every time I woke up in the middle of the night. Also, I suddenly had night sweats and I m quite worried because this started suddenly. Help? Thanks!
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. In my opinion these symptoms may be due to. 1 Allergic bronchitis , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a physician . Dry hacking cough , tightness in chest , sore throat ,headaches , muscles pain all are characteristic feature o allergic bronchitis. 2 Strep throat may be the next reason. Diagnosis can be confirmed by swab from throat. In my opinion consult a GP and get his opinion as physical examination is very important in this case.Till antiseptic solution gargles will provide relief. Good luck. Dr. HET
