HI I have gone through your mail,as you said you have excessive salivation with throat pain,pain is so severe that you can't eat and due to repeated spitting you can't sleep also. After listening your story I am suspecting that you may be having any of the following disease- (1) Aphthus ulcer in mouth and oral cavity, (2) Herpitic ulcer in mouth, (3) Acute submandibular sialoadenitis, (4) Acute follicular tonsillitis, (5) Growth / Ulcer base of tongue. (6) severe peptic stomatitis.These can be clinically differentiated by examination by e.n.t. specialist, than after it may be plan for treatment

Excessive production of saliva with pain in the throat indicates you are suffering from oral mucositis or acute pharyngitis, it is inflammation of the mucous membrane lining the oral cavity which also leads to formation to oral ulcers. It often leads to pain in the throat, difficulty in swallowing , exacessive salivation.
Inflammtion and ulceration leads to excessive salivation.
i suggest you to start consult a ENT surgeon for clinical evaluation and treatment. Mean time you can start with augmentin 625mg along with NSAIDs which will give relief in bacterial soft tissue infections.mouth gargling with chlorhexidine mouthwash gives relief from throat pain . take care.
