Having Extreme Loose Stools, Acute Diverticulitis.

I have been having extreem loose stools for 4 days now, I had acute diverticulitus 2 years ago, the bottom left hand of bowle is sore, been to A&E and been checked out, the loose stools stop for a period of 12hrs but went to the toilet again this morning and its started again, I am taking codine base medicine also fybogel it works for a while then it start, have cramps constantly drinking loads of fluids but this also goes straight through me also, feel sick at times, but I am not, feels like a bug but could it be something else, have handed in sample of stool for testing, dont want to load up on loperamide , what can you sugest, sorry for the spelling, tony

Hi, Tony, it appears that it is the result of the diverticulitis, otherwise it may be due to the food poisoning, of viral origin, it may take its time to be cured.
I advise you to consult a gastro enterologist for diagnosis.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe lacto bacilli, furazolidone, metronidazole, and ranitidine . Thank you.
