Having Irregular Periods, Wight Loss. Taking Provere. Will I Have Infertility Problem?
Hi, I m 19 years old and haven t had a period for the last 15-16 months. My periods have always been irregular possibly due to previously being a high performance athlete but never more than 3 months. I have hardly done ANY exercise for the past 8 months. Since my last period I have lost around 6kg. From 64kg to 58 kg. I m currently on Provera (10mg, 15 days) and just wondering what my chances of a natural period would be given that Provera works for me. The absence of my period adds extra stress on me and I m very concerned about fertility issues.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The loss of weight and stress has caused a delay in your periods. Hormonal imbalance can also cause such an irregularity. Provera is likely to help you and bring back your periods. The periods can be regularized by taking oral pills for few cycles. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
