Having Kidney Stone, On Medications. Removal By Surgery Or Drinking Water?
Hello Doc, my Aunt has been diagnosed to have a 9mm stone in her right kidney . Is it necessary to take a surgery or can it be removed just by drinking water? We have been seeing a general medicine doc and he has precribed Cefipower, tamcobin, c. Sparprem capsules.. I would also appreciate if you kindly give me the details about the tablets...

9 mm stone in the kidney may give trouble when it comes down to block the ureter.
So it is wise to get it fragmented by lithotripsy.
Tamcobin- if it is tamsulosin is beneficial if the stone is less than 6 mm.
other two - to me- look like antibiotics and may not be necessary unless there is infection in the urine by urine culture report!

There is probably typing mistake in the other two names - no comment is possible
Considering the size and the site, the stone is unlikely to come out by itself.
Generally, 'operation' is unusual these days.
You have to see the specialist - UROLOGIST - they can break the stone with machine (Lithotripsy).
They have other advanced techniques and procedures too
Water is the most important part of stone treatment.
