Having Low Heart Rates, BP Low, Sharp Pains In Chest. Does Being On A Period Lower BP?
hellow i been having low heart rates for like a month and a half now and my cardiologist cant find anything wrong with me but bradycardia and for the last two weeks my blood presure started goin a little low and today it was alot lower and im having lil sharp pains in my chest ,,but my question is does being on a period lower your bloos pressure
Dear Ma'm Thanks for writing to us. Definitely there are no precipitous falls in BP associated with menses. It may go down a bit as you lose blood, especially on day 1 or 2 , however it must not produce any symptoms and it should not be too low. If any of these happen you must see your gynecologist. It is not clear from the query that how much was your baseline BP and how low it has gone? Usually anginal heart disease does not occur in menstruating females unless they re smokers or have diabetes. Sharp transient pains are against the possibility of angina. Still if pain persists do see your physician. Sincerely Sukhvinder
