Having Noticed A Hard, painful Spot On Upper Forehead & Swollen Eye

I began having a hard, painful spot on my upper forehead (closer to the hairline). It made my whole forehead swell up, my knows and eyes almost swollen shut. Anyway I went to the ER, had it cut open and drained, another surgeon came in the next day and opened it further to remove more. He packed it, bandaged it, gave me antibiotics and told me to remove about 5mm of packing per day til it s gone. I still have some packing to go, but I ve noticed my lower forehead like almost brow of nose/between eyes hard a bit of a hard spot, no pain, no tenderness. Most the swelling has disappeared from my face, but I m a little concerned about this hard spot prob 2 inches from the incision, and when the packing is gone and the wound begins to heal.

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a swelling over the forehead which was drained following which you are having swollen eyes. This is because of reactionary edema to the incision and drainage of the swelling over fore head.By doing hot compression this will disappear, hence no need to worry.
Hence I advice you to continue treatment with antibiotics as advised by your surgeon.

Thank you
