Hi i have been having pain during intercourse with my husband for awhile now and have been bleeding during it and have had oder in my vagina area and today when i went to the bathroom i felt something fall out and it was a tampon could that be the reason for everything even the bleeding during intercourse i did not know it was stuck inside me at all and don't know how long it has been in

Hi,
In the current scenario, you should immediately get an examination done by a specialist to see if there is any other foreign body left over. Infection as well as cervical lesions also should be excluded as the cause of the bleeding. Likewise, you should exclude/confirm pregnancy also. A trans-vaginal sonogram along with blood counts, pap smear, vaginal swab and urinalysis also would be needed. Do not use tampons and use pads instead. Please maintain genital hygiene.
