Having Painful Lump On Superior Parietal Lobule, Some Balance Problem, Headache, Swollen Lymph Node On Neck. Worrisome

A couple of days ago I got a painful lump/ bump on my left side of my occipital (sp?) lobe and have had some balance problems in addition I have had a couple of very mild headaches (but I very rarely get any kind of headache...)I am also thinking I may have had some swelling and tenderness before in same place recently but it must of went away until a couple of days ago I noticed it had returned but more so. I also have swollen lymph nodes on my neck (same side for almost two years).... I have had a CT scan noting nothing unusual a year ago

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. I would like to reassure you that there is no need to worry about your symptoms. Normal CT scan of brain rules out any serious brain diseases.

A good clinical examination would help confirm the diagnosis about the lump/bump, however, it is not likely to be a serious issue.

As of now, you can go for symptomatic treatment with analgesics for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, you can get an MRI scan of brain for final confirmation.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
