Having Pregnancy Symptoms, Negative Test Results. Suffering From PCOS. Suggestions?
Hi, I am a 32 yo female diagnosed with pcos since 17yo, now 32yo and trying to conceive. Have been off birth conrol for 3 months and I am now 19 days late for my latest period. I have pregnancy symptoms such as tingly nipples, nausea, a feeling of warmness/activity in my lower abdomen (I find this symptom very hard to describe as it is not cramping but there is something going on) increased sinus fluid... I am testing negative in a home pregnancy test and blood test...My question: is it possible to be pregnant and still be getting a negative result? Does having pcos mess with the hormone reading?
Pregnancy blood and urine tests check for the HCG hormone which is released 8 to 10 days after implantation. It should be detected early in the blood and a little later in the urine though there are early detection urine tests that can check for low levels.
By day 19 , the HCG should be detectable at least by blood sampling and if it is negative then it is unlikely that you are pregnant at this time.
I hope this helps
