Having Sharp Pain Under Arm Pit, Feels Like A Gas Bubble, Can't Lay Down. Suggestion
My daughter is 18 and has for years complained of a sharp pain under the left arm pit area-about 6 years ago we were in the doctors office when this attack happened..the Dr. didnt have a clue....all that to say..... we thought it was carbonation because it seemed to act up more often, so we cut the carbonated drinks... the same with fried foods too.... noticed lately she is drinking more orange juice-which is high acid...and didnt know what you thought this problem could be..... tonight it knocked her out of a social event-where she spent her time sitting in her car ---she says it feels like a gas bubble or ???? I gave her 2 tums and a heating pad but she still can't relax, and is sitting up and says she cant lay down....any thoughts....
Hi, as she is getting it occasionally, and lasting for some time only it appears to be due to gastricrelated may be due to irritant foods. I to my patients with such symptoms prescribe omeprazole and domperidone for few days and continue only omeprazole for 2 months, and ask to keep some capsules in reserve to have when ever she has the pain. If still continuing she can consult a chest physician . Thank you.
