What Does Sharp Pain In The Abdomen Indicate?

My abdomen hurts. Sharp pain on the upper middle left. It hurts on the inside and touching it on the outside hurts it on the inside. When I stand, it hurts to stand straight unless I move more gradually than normal and I feel like I have to walk kind of gingerly not to jar it. It jars and hurts on the inside when I go down stairs. Although the pain is localized, I feel very bloated across all of my abdomen. I do not want to eat. I do not think I have a fever. I thought it was gas yesterday when it started like a sharp, trapped gas bubble, but it has not gone away and hurts a bad as it did, if not worse, than when it started.
