Having Sore Throat, Fever And Noticed Yellowish Blisters In Throat. What Could This Be?

hello my daughter has been complaining of a sore throat the last 12-18 hours, she had a 101.0 fever last night. I notice this morning she has little yellowish clear blisters all the way in the very back of her throat. Just curious to what this might be? Im gonna give it a day or so before I take her to the doctor. Thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The yellow blisters may be pustules ( small collection of pus). Most throat infections are viral but in some cases there can be a bacterial cause.

You can consider giving her pain medication if it hurts significantly as well as a anti septic/ analgesic gargle.

If the pain worsens or there is no significant improvement then it would be best for her to evaluated by her doctor to determine if she needs antibiotic

I hope this helps
