Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
From your description, it seems as though the swelling in the throat and the
fever did follow the unprotected oral sexual contact you had with this sex worker. But, to confirm whether this is due to a sexually transmitted infection or just an infection caused by contact with contaminated urine or genitalia (which is a host for a number of infection-causing organism) can be confirmed only with laboratory analysis and a physical examination.
The swelling in the
lymph nodes indicates that the infection has not subsided and is not very good news. I request you to visit a doctor at the earliest and get screened for all sexually transmitted infections. Along with this, a throat swab should hopefully provide some results.
Please do no take this lightly until all serious infections have been ruled out. Once they have been ruled out, all you need to do is to complete the course of medications prescribed by the doctor, even if you feel you have recovered earlier and most important of all; avoid such unprotected sexual contact, especially with sexual workers (who are unreliable/unpredicatable when it comes to sexual health).
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
