Head Throbbing After Driving In Traffic, Recently Had Dry Cough. Treatment Options?

I just walked in the house after driving for more than an hour in a severe traffic jam and the moment I stepped out of the car, if feels like my head exploded from 0 intensity to medium (i can still function slightly). It all happened within a few seconds. Possible important side note: I ve been having a nasty dry cough for some days now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sudden pain on change of posture- sitting to standing, can be due to postural hypotension or due to hypoglycemia - due to starvation or could just be a consequence of stress of driving.

There are ofcourse various other possibilities - vision acuity (power change), migraine etc.

As long as it does'nt repeat, I think there is little to worry.

Visit a ENT specialist if dry cough remains, it may not be related
to the pain.

Wishing you good health.
