Headache, CT Shows Minor Sinusitis Of Right Maxillary Sinus, Pain In Forehead, Ringing In Ears. Solution ?
Hi Dr I have had a headache for 3 weeks now. Ct scan clear shows minor sinusitis of right maxillary sinus. Pain in forehead. Ears ringing. Back of head feels heavy. Dizziness. Pressure in head. Worse when i lie Down. What could it be? I'm frustrated and desperate now to feel better. Had 3 courses of antibiotics for suspected sinusitis, had steroids/cortisone. And still feel same. Ent has no idea and says maybe to go see a neurologist.
Thank you for posting your query. I know it can be frustrating if you do not get better despite treatment. It is clear that your symptoms are not related to sinusitis as you have already had adequate antibiotics. Your symptoms could be due to BPPV, where one csn have positional vertigo. A clinical examination would help in confirming the diagnosis. I hope it helps. Best wishes, Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology) Senior Consultant Neurologist
