Headaches, Dizziness, Blurred Vision And Some Sinus Issues, Only Getting Worse. Could It Be Systemic Fungal Infection ?

I haven't felt well for a few years now. Ive had headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, and some sinus issues.Ive had a lot of tests but nothing ever shows anything! In the last 6 weeks it has really gotten worse. I have been running a low grade fever and all my other symptoms have gotten way more severe.About a month ago I asked my doctor if she would test the chunky, odd looking stuff that ive been coughing up for the last few years and she did.Well the results came back positive for candida. So now Im wating to go to the infectious disease specialist next week.My question to you is ,is this a significant finding? I don't want to get my hopes up! Thinking back, I lived in an apartment
for 4 years that had a serious mold problem and moved out case the landlord wouldn't fix it. Shortly before moving is when the first symptoms started. Could it be a systemic fungal infection? Could the progression have been so slow because I have a competent immune system? I would so appreciate any feedback.

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic. From your Query i understood that you are suffering from chronic fungal sinusitis.
We cannot be treat it like other bacterial sinusitis.
Bacterial sinusitis are mostly acute.
Fungal sinusitis are mostly chronic (repeated and long term).
Empirical use of antibiotic may exacerbate the Chronic fungal sinusitis.
Because antibiotics disturb the normal bacterial flora.
I think you need both systemic and local antifungal treatment.
Please stick with Infectious disease specialist opinion.
Hope this helps.
Take care
