Headaches, Small Appetite, Overweight. Hyperthyroidism. Had Thyroid Removed. On Replacement Hormones. Suggestion?
Hi I had my thyroid removed in 2004 I was hyperthyroid.......I have been on replacement hormones and have gained weight steadily over the years.....yet I have a small appetite and cannot loose the weight....I am over 9o kgs now and have no energy....insomnia....and tired all the time.....headaches....and constipation.
How can I lose weight....its just awful....I have never been so over weight?
Hi ! Possibly your thyroid status is tending towards hypothyroid status, where all the symptoms you have mentioned can occur. Therefore, I would advise you to go for a Thyroid function test, and consult your treating doctor with the report. Wishing you an early recovery. Thanks.
hello, i think the weight gain and tiredness could be as a result of less thyroid hormones. maybe the doses need to be increased but you should first talk to an endocrinologist. thanks
