General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
I suggest you might need to see the cardiologist for a proper cardiovascular examinations. An electrocardiogramme to study cardiac electrical activity and a cardiac ultrasound, coupled with a chest X ray might be appropriate.
However, other non cardiac causes of these symptoms like pulmonary disease and neurologic disease should be considered. It is worth knowing if you got any recent psychological problems or something that is worrying or depressing you. Severe anxiety also might cause you to experience such symptoms. However, excluding cardiac disease and undertaking by undergoing a proper cardiologist s evaluation could be the most appropriate strategy.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.

Cardiologist Dr. Anantharamakrishnan's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The long history - in the absence of untoward effects - is suggestive of Anxiety as the cause.
Generalised Anxiety Disorder - as it is called - should be assessed by a Psychiatrist.

You also need cardiac evaluation - most probably to exclude its role...EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
