Heavy And Painful Menstruation, Frequent Urination. Vaginal Ultrasound Showed Polyp. Should I Be Worried?

Hi I am 39yrs old three children my systems r tender lower abdomen heavy & painful menstration and frequent urination just had a vaginal ultrasound it showed what is believed to be a polyp and my lining measure 20 about a week before my cycle. D&C scheduled but not til jan 22 how scared should I be???? Also I have no bleeding between cycles at all

It seems that you have endometrial hyperplasia along with polyp.....please do get a d and c done and you might need a hysteroscopy done as well....the polyp might be a mucous polyp which will get removed on d and c itself but if its a fibroid polyp then you might need polypectomy which is more convenient during a hysteroscoppy so its better to get hysteroscoopy done which will be a one step procedure
