Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 28/male. I recently had a chest x-ray due to shortness of breath/cough. The doctor wanted to rule out any infections. I currently suffer from Asthma and GERD. The only major problems I have ever had with my lungs was two bouts of double pnuemonia, once when I was a toddler and another time as a teenager. The doctors findings on the x-ray are as followed, Lung volumes are upper limits normal. Interstitum is slightly coarse for age. No actue abnormalities detected. What do the doctors findings mean? Also should I be concerned about the slight coarsening of my interstitum? Everything I've looked up on the internet states coarsening of the interstitum usually means serious conditions like pulmonary fibrosis.
