Hello, I am being sent for an MRI scan due to my ongoing lower back and pelvis problems. I am concerned as I have a metal gauze in my abdomen from a muscel hernia correction operation in 2007 after having my boy by C-section in 2006. Is it safe for me to have the MRI scan? I have been told it could be very painful and it has been known for metal inside the body to vibrate and in some cases metal objects can make their way out of the body. I am rather worried. Please could u advise me on this matter. Thankyou ever so much.
