Hi, During My Wife's Pregnency, In The 5th Month, Her

Hi,

During my Wife's pregnency, in the 5th month, her both legs started shaking (like Muscle spasms) and after few weeks, Only the right leg was having the Spasms (all through the day). When we consulted the OBG, our Primary Care and one of the Neurologist, they all said that it is an RLS which is common during pregnency and will go away post delivery.

She was prescribed Clonozephm the lowest dose and still the shakes did not reduce. Our 2nd child got delivered 3 weeks back and still she has these spasms/shakes through out the day. Now the OBG is saying these are hormones which would take 6-8 weeks to reduce else would refer to Neurologist again and asked my wife to continue on the Clonozephm.

As the Spasms are all through the day (most of the positions), we are both scared. We would be very grateful if we could get an 2nd opinion on these symptoms, will these spasms go away? if not, are there any other medications which would work.

Thanks
Ram
