Hi, I am a 64 yr old woman with severe osteoporosis. I have been having bone density tests every 2 years and it has now been suggested that I have an Aclusta injection once a year. As well this I had Harrington rods inserted 34years ago because of scoliosis. My Medical Aid does not cover me for chronic treatment or medication. Is there any alternative less expensive treatment or help I can follow. I walk on a daily basis between 2 - 4 km early in the morning at as brisk pace as possible.
