Hi I have had a cough since October. Producing thick green phlegm. But also lots of very bubbly saliva. Was put on antibiotics didn't help. Also a 2nd antibiotic didn't help. Had chest xray, was all clear as was lungs etc despite only reaching 100-150 on my peak flow meter. 2 days after Xmas started vomiting also. Eating small and often as my doc suggested isn't helping either as quite often my food is staying down less than 2 hours . Have had some pain down my right side, hip back and shoulder and below my tummy. Am on a steroid nose spray and been doing the nasal flushing as suggested but nothing helping. Cough has now stopped but all other symptoms remain. Sputum test result was non specific bacterial growth despite still coughing up the green phlegm and all the bubbly saliva. The feeling of nausea also continues. As this has been going on for so long now it is getting me down as esp with not knowing the cause. I do not wish to continue getting medication when no one knows what they're meant to be treating. A friend said she once had same symptoms and had a hernia she didn't even know she had. Do you think this is a possibility or could it be something else ? I am asthmatic ,have Ibs, vertigo , urticaria and early onset of osteoarthritis . I use fostair inhaler and Ventolin, telfast, montelukast, and omeprazole.
