Hi! I'm so confused with my body right now, haha. So, I've been on birth control for a year straight now and had been on it previously also. I'm sexually active with the same partner for the last 3 years. We only see each other every other week right now, but had been living together until a job change. I was on week 2 of my current BC pack when I started lightly spotting. It's brown. I had missed 3 days of BC and figured that was why, but I started immediately back on schedule. We did have unprotected sex a day after that. The bleeding seemed to slowly go away until our last night together (Sunday). When we were active again and I assumed the activity just loosened some more up and that would be the last of it. Now, about 4 days later and on week 3 of my BC pack, the bleeding is much worse. Still mostly brown. And I'm itchy and sore. It's hard for me to tell if its a yeast infection because I'm also bleeding. I've never spotted on BC before, but I've also never missed 3 days in a row before. Is this most likely a yest infection? Or is something else going on? The only differences in my life last week were being in a new hotel in DC, being around large crowds (Dancing event), not having seen my boyfriend for a week and then making love 3 days in a row, flying on a plane, eating out instead of home cooking for 4 days, and using fractionated coconut oil as a lube the last night together. Weve used regular coconut oil before (the kind that hardens and melts) with no weird effects. I also have a prescription for a birth control that the pharmacy gives me generic for. And they keep changing up the generic brand on me. Not sure if that means anything.
I'm scheduling an appointment, but they can't get me in for almost another two weeks, so I'm pretty worried and very uncomfortable. If it's a yeast infection, I'd like to go get some Monistat or something and get it fixed asap. Ive used that for yeast infections before. If its not a yeast infection, I need to look into finding anyone that can get me in for a visit before my doctor can. Please help? :(
Thanks for your time and consideration!
