Hi Doctor, My Husband Cooked Salmon For My 2 Year

Hi doctor,

My husband cooked salmon for my 2 year old daughter in a sous vide cooker (put in a ziplock bag) and emerged in water for 60 mins at 60 degrees celcius. The salmon was medium rare when I fed it to my daughter. I noticed little white stringy things inside and for a moment thought about the possibility of them being parasites but to my recollection they were not moving and we had no other food, so I thought I was just being paranoid and that it was just part of the salmon and proceeded to feed the fish to my daughter. This was around 5 weeks ago. Since then my daughter has been having reflux symptoms (coughing spontaneously, being more picky eating, burping while eating and complaining of intermittent stomach pain (also pointing down to her abdomen). I am freaking out that she could have ingested a parasite, specificially the anisakis parasite that is common in salmon. I can;t stop crying because the only way I read to detect this parasite is though a CT scan which i am not comfortable putting her through because of the radiation. Do these symptoms sound like a anisakis parasite infection of her GI tract (stomach and small and large intestine). Can an MRI detect it instead of a CT scan. If left untreated what are the long term implications of this parasitic infection?
