Hi, My Gp Prescribed The Ginnette Contraceptive Pills And I

Hi, my gp prescribed the ginnette contraceptive pills and i started using those pills last year November and for no reason I stopped using it last year December. After 4 months I started to use that pills again. When I went to the pharmacy to get those pills the pharmacist told me that my hormonal levels will be up and down(don't know what she meant with that). However I got my period last week and Sunday on the 1st of May and that's when I started to use those pills again.
Today I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and sadly he did cum inside me.

My question is, should I continue drinking those pills or should I stop?

Because me gp told me those pills only works after a month and I've only been using that pill for a week now.
