Hi, My Lingual Frenulum Is White And REALLY Hurts When

Hi, my lingual frenulum is white and REALLY hurts when I move my tongue arlund my mouth. I just went through a common cold with a runny/stuffy nose with a sore throat. I woke up yesterday in the morning with an acute pain under my tongue, which at first i thought i had bite it while sleeping, but later i noticed that it wasn't the case and i looked in the mirror and all my lingual frenulum was white and stiff. What caused this???
I cannot seem to find an answer anywhere and I am bit worried.
