Hi there
Wonder if you can clear my confusions
I have prescribed symbicort 200/6. I take one puf in the morning and one in the evening, plus bricanyl 0.5mg whenever needed usually one in the evening works fine. It's been some 7 years now as I'm on these inhalers where asthma is under control and I started with around 16 pufs of symbicort and and had to carry bricanyl all the time with me. Some time ago, good 3-4 years I noticed my morning spit was browny and over the years it was turning brownier and then I noticed it was going red and now I can see clearly it is blood. At the beginning I thought it was after-smoking lung residue coming out( yeah, I thought It had something to do with my exsmokers lungs). It looks like my gums are bleeding but I never can see actual blood coming out from anywhere. After I had run out of my inhalers once, I have stopped bleeding and realized that inhalers, well surely one of them is guilty.
I'm 36, 190cm tall, 85kg, non smoker and very occasional drinker. I have all my teeth. I eat rather healthy, organic fruits and vegs, limited red meat. No other known health problems. I'm a full time carpenter, whenever needed on the job I wear proper face mask with filters. General health check up done 3 yrs ago. Blood, urine, 4 full pages A4 of results came very good.
Before I wrote to you I had searched online and I came to some unclear results that symbicort can cause bleeding but nothing directly relating to my problem.
