Hi There, Someone I Know Has Been Heating Car Parts

Hi there, someone I know has been heating car parts (specifically the rubber around a headlight) in order to extract the lenses and resell them on eBay. They have been doing this in the same oven that they use to eat in. I'm concerned about the potential toxicity of this-- for obvious reasons. Can you explain the risks of eating food that has been exposed to the chemicals that might be released in rubber? Thank you!!!
