High Blood Sugar After Eating Food, Followed By A Severe Drop In Sugar Levels. Cure?
I was having a late breakfast this morning (slept in!). I had tea and waffles with maple syrup . As i was eating, I started to get very tired. I think i actually fell asleep at the table. I got up and went to lay down on the bed. I decided to check my blood sugar because of feeling strangely. It was 193. I fell asleep for a few hours. When I awoke I checked my blood sugar again an it was 60. I haven t been this bad or so sleepy before.
Hi,
First of all You did not mention whether you are a known diabetic.
If you are not a known diabetic consult a diabetologist.
As you are able to test blood sugar in your house itself - you must be a diabetic
having a glucometer. If you are a diabetic you did not mention whether you took your morning
anti-diabetic drug. Your morning tiredness is not due to hypoglycemia because of being 193 mgm%
You did not mention how long you slept. Any how 60 mgm% reveals that you have slept for a very long time and you have a chance to go for Hypoglycemia ( more dangerous )
Small (3-4 hrs) gap is advised between food/diabetic snacks. consult diabetologist.
Best Wishes
