Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a poor nursing student who does not have much time to work and can barely get the loans needed for my schooling. I have donated plasma before to help pay for gas for to and from school but since I have been turned away for a high heart rate , every time I go in now to donate my pulse is too high. Is there anything I can do that works to lower my heart rate so that I can donate?
hi there,
first of all dont worry and take everthing in your stride.
firstly i suggest you should get an ekg done to rule out any underlying pathology,
if the ekg comes sinus tachycardia then its more of an anxiety attack you have because of the underlying fear.and rather than starting with antianxiety drugs i would suggest you to rather first reassure yourself, meet a counsellor if required, find alternative ways to earn..and even then if your panic attacks are not coming in control you can start with medicnes meeting a doctor
all the best
do well
