Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

This is just to let you know that pain arising from the Hip joint will never go below the knee joint level.

As you are having numbness in both legs going upto the toes, it suggests that you are having some problem in your lumbar spine (most propably a prolapsed intervertebral disc)

I suggest you to go for an MRI scan of Lumbar spine which diagnoses your condition. The treatment depends on the diagnosed condition.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day

General & Family Physician Dr. Lohit K's  Response
Hi since driving for long time might have injured your nerve trunk or nerve due to pressure effect or due to abnormal posture. The symptoms are due to neuropathy. This may occur even at the lower spinal level. But you may experience the symptom at the nerve terminal/supply area.

So I advice you to take vitamin supplements (B complex) and Tab Pregabalin. If diabetic, need to maintain your sugar level and reduce your weight. BMI should be less than 25. Daily 30 minuter stretching exercise will help you.

Get one spinal CT and based on its findings the next level of treatment can be planned. Bursitis presents with local symptoms. So this may not be bursitis. Consult your doctor for further management after examination.

Hope this helps.

Regards
