Hello ma'am and welcome.

I am sorry to hear about your obstetric history.

The loprin is a form of blood thinning medication which is placed in category D, which means it does carry a risk to the baby, but does not interfere with conception; in fact a doctor only prescribes it when he weighs the benefits over risks, and with your history the benefits of the medication might outweigh the risks; although this can be very tricky. It is best to get a second opinion from a local doctor.

The folic acis only prevents and developmental abnormalities in your child, this is perfectly safe and part of protocol.

Hope this information helps.

Take care.

OBGYN Dr. Rubee Khattar's  Response
Hi dear,
repeated abortions can occur due to many reason. In your case, first abortion at 6mth and 2nd at 2mnth i.e a decreasing trend, points more towards some autoimmune cause which has to be confirmed further. Accordindly, your doctor has started you on above medications. This may help you in next pregnancy so keep taking and good luck.
