History Of Radiotherapy For Breast Cancer. Black And Crusty Nipple, Fatigue, Dry And Flaky Breast Skin. Concerned

Hi I am 11mnths post radiation ( breast cancer) After rads treatment had the usual skin reactions from rads, treated with rx cream. My breast cleared up except my nipple turned black and crusty. Breast is dry and flackey. I still have these symptoms along with a lot of fatigue. My question is should I be concerned or is this a "gift that radiation left me?

Hi,

Radiation does cause a lot of skin changes, leaving the skin very dry. Try some deep nourishing skin creams. Exercise and a good diet is very important to prevent fatigue. Yoga is known to help too. Most important is to go for regular follow up with your breast surgeon.
