Hit Nose And Bled. Why Is It Happening Everyday? Is It Cold?
hI my 5 year old dauther was juping on the ben on sunday and she said she hit her nose and stared to bleed. But since then she has had a nose bleed every day, they are essay to stop and she semms fine eccept that she is kinda fighting a cold . I m wondering is her nose bleeds are form being her cold or that she hit her head, or both and If a should take her to the doctor.
Dear Diana, hello
Nose has a region which is highly vascular known as Kiesselbach's Plexus in the Little's Area, an area near the anterioinferior part of nasal septum. Injury to this area result in bleeding.
Nose bleed is also common in cold infection. Bleeding can be stopped by placing ice or cold compress near the tip of the nose. Nose picking by finger should be avoided as this furthur injures the area.
Nasal mucosa shoul be kept moist by using saline nasal spray after consulting your ENT specialist.
I hope this is useful to you.
Thanks.
