Hit On A Hard Steel. Got Hurt, No Pain Or Swelling. Now Have Little Pain. Feel Tight, Redness, Swelling, Hot Flash. Underlying Cause?
About a month ago I went to kick an object and to my con clusion I don t no how I did not see the hard piece of steel and my kick was full force. It hurt really bad at that moment and the next day too after that till yesterday I was okay no pain nothing swelling no symptoms. Yesterday day when I woke up I had a lil pain like when you re hands fall asleep as the day went it got worst it got to the point where it feels really tight but at the sometime tender there s redness and swelling if I walk or touch my shin area it hurts its painfully I took pain killer and seem to help but what s intreagin is the left side of my shin is what s in pain and not the actual wound..yesterday I even experienced a hot flash and some dizziness as well as shortness of breath for about 5-10mins
Possibility is you have sustained indirect injury to the shin, because of force of foot transmitted to shin which could have developed hairline/stress fracture. The manifestation of stress fracture can occur many days after the actual injury is suspected. Symptom of hot flush are usually generalized and not localised as in your case. Would suggest you to see your surgeon who would like to rule out the possibility of stress fracture by taking x-ray.
Meanwhile analgesic/anti-inflammatory drugs , rest and local application of hot fomentation will help.
Take care
