Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last 3 months I have been having hot flashes. They come and go at all times. My tempature shoots up to 100 and back down to 97.8. It takes it about 5 minutes before I get back to normal. My heart doesn't race and no sweating. I am 32 years old, female, my tubes are tied and I weigh 115 and I am 5'5 1/2. I am not stressed or having any aniexty about anything.
Hot flashes is a very common menopausal symptoms. Which could occur much before starting of menopause. Non medical treatment i would recommend is eating at least 50 gms of soya beans (any form) everyday. It has estrogenic effect. This helps because hot flashes is caused by less estrogen in body. Another treatment modalities includes HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and antidepressants.
