Hit On Back, Started To Shake, Legs Couldn't Hold, Dizzy. What Are The Causes ?
Hi Earlier on tonight my partner hit his back on something. suddenly he started to shake & his legs couldnt hold him up, he felt dizzy! Within 5 mins he felt ok again, very pale but ok. Im worried about him. Could it have been him hitting his back that caused a moment of such shaking & leg weakness? He hit his back in the middle. I cant believe he can have hit it that hard?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
It might be soft tissue injury, ligament strain or fracture.
Weakness in legs might be due to pressure over nerve roots.
Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray/MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.
In the interim, apply ice packs to the affected area,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
