Hit The Top Of Head On An Open Cabinet Edge. There Is A Tender Spot. Could There Be Bleeding In Brain?
Say evening I stood up and hit the top of my head on an open cabinet edge. I was about 1 1/2 ft below and stood up quickly. I smacked it hard and immediately took Advil and put ice on my head as I had a small goose egg. There was no loss of consciousness or other ckncussion signs. Sunday I had a headache on top of my head and was tired and felt yucky, but it was also the first day of menstruation. I feel okay, but there is a tender spot on my head where it's bruised. I had a CT Scan on my head last year and don't want more radiation, but I'm worried I have bleeding in my brain! Can they see with a plain x-ray or should I skip the dr. I am a 34 year old mother and worried.
hello, if you are sure that the are no signs of vomiting or ent bleed after your injury you need not to worry but it you hit too hard you need to take a ct scan as it is much important than the radiation.some times you wont find any symptoms immediately after injury but later thay may develop so to rule out u need to go for ct and xray cant tell you about the bleed in brain.thank you.take care.
