Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I experienced a hot sedation on my upper left arm. It was on the outside of my arm and it was between my elbow and shoulder. It was very red and hot to the touch. The rest of my arm was regular temp. Later on in the day I experienced the same thing on my right arm but the area affected was smaller, just a strip but just as hot. I didn't do anything different that morning. What can it be?
Welcome to HCM.The sensory paraesthesia seems to be secondary to cervical nerve root compression causing a sensation of tingling or heat.It would be prudent to discuss this with your doctor who can examine you and rule out brachialgia or other causes of nerve compression along its path like Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.Cervical spinal canal stenosis may need to be ruled out.
