How Accurate Are The Results From The Holtel Monitor For A Runner Who Fainted Suddenly ?

Hello: My 16 year old daughter who is a crosscountry runner fainted on Monday. I saw her falling and she was unconcious for a few seconds. I took her to the urgent care and they did several blood tests, an EKG and an x-ray. Everything cameback normal. They also put her a holter monitor and that was removed today. She is upset that I am not letting her practice until I know for sure that she is ok. Will it be necessary to take her to see a specialist (cardiologist) for more indepht testing? How accurate are the results from the holtel monitor. I am in my 30s and I worry a lot. I really hope that my daughter doesn t have any heart problems. She ran last year and she never experienced anything like this.

HI
Well come to HCM
If the history of syncope is there then it would be necessary to put the patients on halter cardiac monitors, this is the one of the method to know the reason of syncope, along with this CT head is very important you can see the neurologist hope this helps you, take care.
