How Best To Treat Macular Amyloidosis?

dear doc, am a 30 year old woman suffering from macular amyloidosis for last 12 years. a have pigmentation on my upper back outer areas of arms and legs. and the pigmentation seems to be spreading. what is the most effective way of treating this condition...i know there is no complete cure...but which treatment can at least control and improve the condition. pls help.

You can use potent topical corticosteroids. Alternatively you can use tacrolimus lotion. Please do avoid scratching or rubbing the skin.

I can understand your concern about macular pigmentation due to macular amyloidosis. It is a benign condition and harmless, it is difficult to cure completely. You may take antioxidants, vitamin C and E , zinc etc.
