How Can severe Dry Cough Along With Back Pain Be Treated?
I have been feeling unwell a couple of days since I started a new blood pressure medication that also contains a diaretic and I have a dry cough constantly and a tickle in my throat. I cough until I almost vomit but I get like the dry heaves. I am tired, pains in my back and a backache. I feel dizzy when I get up from a chair etc. and I am sweating a lot. I am also having abdominal pain and I feel bloated. the name of the drug prescribed is perindopril Erbumine/indapamide 8 mg/2.5mg I am allergic to Sulpha
Dry cough is a known side effect of all the ACE inhibitor category of drugs, which includes Perindopril. The dizziness and sweating may be caused by low blood pressure that may occur due to blood pressure lowering drugs especially for the first few days I recommend going to your doctor and consult him about changing the drug or the dosage. Hope you feel better soon, thank you.
