How Can severe Sore Throat Along With Headache Be Treated?

Wondering what is wrong with my daughter. She is 14, started not feeling well one week ago with a sore throat next day headache, next day low temp that is when she started complaining of having difficulty concentrating and increasing fatigue. Strep test on Sat was neg but she s been sleeping all weekend and says she can t even watch a tv show and follow along d/t this brain fog and has been tearful about what she is going to do about school as she is normally an A student. What should we do?

Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.There are two possibilities.
- Your daughter might have sinus congestion /infection along with sore thtoat.
The pain due to sinusitis reduces with hot vapour inhalation. Anti allergic decongestants over the counter help
*Take her to ENT specialist for needful antibiotic.
-Anotherr possibility is refractory error ..affecting her visuon.
*This needs expert eye check up & prescription of needful spectacles.
